Supply Chain Management

Great manufacturers need a great supply chain.  We work hard to find and partner with suppliers who share our commitment to the development of people, processes and systems.  We seek long-term partners who can work closely with us to support our focus on “Solutions in Manufacturing.”

The supply chain accounts for 35% of our annual sales and with an annual spend of $17 million, we have the capability to leverage economies of scale to keep our customers' projects on-time and on-budget.  Just as important, their project will be produced with consistent quality and within specifications.

We firmly believe in Edward Deming’s principle of moving towards a single supplier for any one item.  Using a single supplier means that we can reduce variation in feedstock or hardware.  When you buy from us, we want the first part to be as consistently perfect as the 1000th.

End the practice of awarding business on the basis of a price tag. Instead, minimize total cost. Move towards a single supplier for any one item, on a long-term relationship of loyalty and trust.
--W. Edwards Deming

Our daily support team works with Supplier Quality engineering, our Procurement Manager, Quality management and executive management to ensure that our supply chain is reliable.  We even have a custom-built online supplier management web site so everyone has the information they need at all times.
