B&B defends their title against other local companies in
2nd Annual Santa Clarita Search and Rescue Team Challenge – Fund Raiser
Valencia, Ca –1-22-2010 – B & B Manufacturing, a world-class provider of manufacturing solutions to the aerospace, military, semiconductor and automotive racing industries, today announced participation in Santa Clarita's Search and Rescue Hiking Challenge - Fund Raiser.
About the Event The Search and
Rescue Challenge is back. In March
of 2009, The Santa Clarita Search
and Rescue Team led “12 hikes in 12
weeks”, providing members of the
community an opportunity to get out,
hike, and explore the mountains and
trails of the Santa Clarita Valley. The
event attracted over 125 people and
raised $3,000. The event also
included a corporate challenge
between AMS fullfillment and B&B
Manufacturing, in which B&B took
first place nearly completing 3,000
miles.

This challenge kicks off January 30th with the first Search and Rescue Team led hike at Ed Davis Park in Towsley Canyon and ends April 18th the BBQ and Awards ceremony. “This year we would like to challenge other local businesses to come out and compete with us. It's a great team building experience and supports worthy cause.“ said Jeff Lage, VP of B&B Manufacturing. In addition, to challenging local businesses, the Search and Rescue would like to see other locals join in on the action; they’re looking to increase their hiking participants to over 200 people.
The Santa Clarita Search and Rescure Team is an all volunteer group formed to assist the Los Angeles County Sheriffs in search and rescue work. These fund raising efforts assist them in purchasing and maintaining equipment to meet the high standards of quality and offer the popluation the safest and fastest response in times of need.
